Gong Xi Fa Chai!

Happyyy Chinese Niuuuu Year!!! :)

The year of the Ox, full of hope and luck ( for a short while.. not until u loose so much money on the mahjong table.. @.@) hehehe

Chinese New Year is always the most busy week of the year, where you meet all your relatives and cousins once a year...have been NON-STOP eating and drinking for the few days before new year and the days after new years! :P

Before Chinese New Year, day 29th, Reunion Dinner

Our Family have this tradition where we have the reunion a day earlier because we throw a new years eve party for our neighbours and friends, so to avoid the rush we eat reunion dinner a day earlier :)

dinner started with abalone yee-sang! it was DELICIOUS!!! :D :D :D

then continued with dinner... we had a really scrumptious dinner!

The day before CNY
We had our usual new years eve party with the neighbours... everyone is happy eating and drinking! :)

The FIRST day of CNY
the first day of new years is usually visiting day for me and my family...
it was the craziest day ever.. we ate and ate and ate... from one house to the other...

I started off the day with eating my granny's special dish, "chai choy" which a vegetarian dish. there are many different kind vege in this... <>

then we visited our grandaunts place @ bangsar...

and we continued eating, my 3rd meal for the day...


there was chicken wings, siew yok, kuihs and more siew yok and chicken wings hahahah!!

Then we moved on to our 3rd destination, my granduncle's place @damansara
and we continued eating again.... :D

They catered the "lok lok" truck over for that day... eheheh..
p/s: thedore, since u couldn't have come along.. here ur favorite lok lok :P

This is my brother and my cousin, he's half malay and half chinese :) but drinks everything under the sun :P
The SECOND day of CNY

the second day of cny is usually the day where relatives come over for visiting and my granny makes my favourite soup, "Lin Ngau Tong"

The 3rd day of CNY

nothing much happened, i went out with porkie in the morning and in the evening went over to Kuma's place for dinner and played some mah jong with yi-po and my granny...


this was the most intense mah jong game i've ever played... with the veterans of mah jong...
hehe but i won Rm36 in an hour from the both of em.. heheh sorry yi-po n ma ma :P

the 4th day of CNY

Yee Sang Day!! we had nothing but our home made yee-sang and fish porridge! :D

This year, CNY celebrations are not as elaborate as years before, this year we are more into eating and just celebrating among the family, gatherings and meeting the older people... it was fun... and very APPETIZING! hehehe..
